isoFLEX for Electrical Locomotives

For many years, the railway technology experts have trusted GIPRO insulation products in Peggau. Manufacturers of pantographs, such as Stemmann-Technik and Faiveley, which belong to the Wabtec Group, as well as the Schunk Group work with us in the creation of their insulation concepts. Train manufacturers such as Alstom, Bombardier or Siemens also commission GIPRO directly.

The technical requirements for the isolators of 25kV locomotives and multiple units vary from country to country and rail operator.

With the support of the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG, GIPRO has therefore taken an innovative approach and launched a family of insulators on the market that can be flexibly designed for different areas of application.

The isolators of the isoFLEX family can be easily adapted to customer requirements.

The advantages of the isoFLEX

We developed the isoFLEX so that it is available in heights from 320 to 360 mm. The creepage distance is at least 1100 mm and the clearance distance is at least 350 mm. As a result, even the smallest isoFLEX clearly exceeds the requirements of EN 50124-1 for OV4 and PD4.

It has been electrically type-tested according to IEC 60060-1 and also according to EN 62217.

In addition to the possibility of producing different heights, the stainless steel base plate can be selected according to customer requirements. In principle, every requirement for hole pattern (2-hole, 3-hole, 4-hole) can be realized and the plate size can also be selected (square, rectangular, oval, round).
